Rod Means is a volunteer business counselor and the district director
for SCORE. Since 1964, SCORE, "Counselors to America's
Small Business," has assisted more than 7.5 million aspiring entrepreneurs and
small business owners through counseling and business workshops. More than
10,500 volunteer business counselors in 389 chapters serve their communities
through entrepreneur education dedicated to the formation, growth and success
of small businesses. Prior to joining SCORE in 1999, Rod had a diverse career
as a corporate executive and business owner in San Diego.
Randy Broberg, recently named one of the best transactional intellectual
property attorneys in San Diego by the San Diego Daily Transcript, is a partner
at the law firm of Allen Matkins. His diverse clients have included
representing General Atomics in a manufacturing arrangement against a Korean
company, representing tennis player Serena Williams to acquire the domain name www.serenawilliams.com, and trademark representation of
Directed Electronics which makes the Viper car alarms.
Rabbi Philip Graubart is the senior Rabbi at Congregation Beth El in La Jolla. He is also a
published author, book reviewer and award winning columnist. He is a third
generation Conservative Rabbi, and both his brother and uncles are rabbis.
Prior to coming to Beth El, he was the Rabb for Congregation B'nai Israel in
Northampton for ten years, leading that congregation from 150 to over 420
member families. He is a graduate of the Jewish Theological Seminary.
