“Show Me The Money!” – Radio Program
for Entrepreneurs, “I’m There for You Baby,” Presents Venture Experts to Advise
Entrepreneurs Seeking Capital
SAN DIEGO – Sept 13, 2006 – “I’m There for You Baby, The Entrepreneur’s Guide
to the Galaxy,” a new radio show about entrepreneurship and taking control of
your life, announces its program line-up for late September shows, which will
be focused on raising money for your business. The radio program (Baby) debuted
this summer on CA$H 1700 AM, a full-service finance talk-format radio station
in San Diego and airs every Sunday from 3-4pm; it can also be downloaded as a
podcast from both the
CA$H and Baby
websites.
”Show Me the Money!” is the theme for this month’s shows, according to host
Neil Senturia. “Most entrepreneurs are resource constrained at some point in
the process…” says Senturia, “…and usually that primary resource is money.
There are many ways to achieve financing and Baby is going to explore the
various models from ‘friends, family and fools’ to big time venture capital.”
Senturia and co-host Barbara Bry have invited money experts who have had
experience on both the money-raising and start-up funding sides of the fence to
give their insights and advice on air. The guests for the September 17 show
include: Marco Thompson, managing director of Express Ventures and Ralph Mayer,
president of San Diego Tech Coast Angels; and on September 24th: Leo Spiegel,
managing partner, Mission Ventures. Senturia, who has raised over $100 million
in his career and is currently president of Blackbird Ventures, will also
discuss his own money raising experience.
Baby regularly features interviews with both successful and up-and-coming
entrepreneurs. It includes weekly, witty and irreverent segments such as “The
Donald Trump Watch (When is enough, enough?)”, “Billionaire Update,” “Crooks of
the Week,” and “I wish I had that idea” idea of the week. All shows are
available on the Baby website,
http://www.imthereforyoubaby.com/, and as a podcast, the Wednesday
following airtime.
The September 10 show, which aired this past Sunday, is now available on the
podcast. It features Dr. Paul Kedrosky, venture capitalist and executive
director of the William J. von Liebig Center at UCSD, who addresses why women
scientists have proportionately fewer patents than their male counterparts and
how they can overcome that; Attorney Dan Hull, partner at Hull McGuire, advises
that pesky clients demoralize employees and may be worth firing; and Andreas
Roell, president, Geary Interactive, gives practical advice about search engine
optimization.
Listeners are invited to participate on Baby by calling in to 866-888-BABY
(2229) to ask questions, get advice or voice opinions. Listeners can also email
questions to be read on the air:
info@imthereforyoubaby.com. The program streams live on 1700 AM’s
Website (www.cash1700.com)
while Baby is on air.
